Tajar Blog 06/01/2025 Opening Day is here, and we are thrilled to kick off our 107th summer under Old Bald! Campers are reconnecting with old friends, meeting new cabinmates, and settling into their summer home for the next three weeks. Merrie-Woode is alive with laughter and friendship once again, and we are reminded of the deep traditions and history that shape each summer. Tonight, we will end our day with a tradition that has been part of Merrie-Woode since its earliest days, Opening Campfire at the Council Ring. It's the perfect way to kick off the start of Camp. We will sing songs, listen to readings, and connect over the light of the fire. This first campfire sets the tone of the summer ahead, reminding us of our values of friendship, history, and community. We are thrilled that our June campers have arrived, and we are excited to make new memories in the Place of Rarest Beauty this summer! 🤍 (fb)
