Beautiful Kenna (originally named Cloudy), double dilute white 3 yr, has been adopted and will be living in WI. Kenna came to MWCR from another rescue who was helping the owner find placement for her. This lovely girl is fully blind in one eye and 20-80% in the other but, fortunately, her hearing is fine. Although she's had some significant hurdles to overcome, she is equally as lovely on the inside and has stolen the heart of everyone she's met. Kenna was born on Christmas Day and her foster mom realized that she was exactly the right gift for them because she knows that sometimes the perfect present can be a little bit imperfect. (fb)

Happy National Rescue Dog Day! MWCR is proud to be here for Collies and their families who need a helping paw. Sometimes when people think of rescue they assume that means animals who are abused or broken. Although we certainly do save collies from very bad situations - like Milo, pictured below, and the Sherrard Rescue in 2022 - often loving owners realize that they are not able to provide the appropriate care for their collies or have significant changes in their lives which mean they need to find a new home for them. We are grateful that they trust us to help find new families to love and care for them and we are thankful for the support of our Collie Community! (fb)
