Mentors mean the world to youth and Madison County is no exception! Sometimes our youth think we’re really cool, but also smart, relatable, understanding and helpful. We have immediate openings for volunteers as well as a paid staff position where you can join this impactful group and make a difference in a youth's life. Volunteer Mentors are able to make a direct impact, one youth at a time. We ask for a minimum of 2 visits per month for one full year. Additional opportunities are available for group participation, training and support of a team. Our staffed Youth Mentor position would work with a total of 10-12 youth at a time. This person would take youth out individually as well as to group and community events. You would explore Madison County together, play games, engage in recreation, create new art and more. Youth in this program are enrolled for 2 full years and create supportive bonds while working on their self-esteem, connections to the community, relationship building and more.
