This morning LatinxEd joined an incredible group of advocates at the NC General Assembly for Immigrant Rights Advocacy Day. Together, we stood up against harmful bills that put immigrant families at risk including HB 318, SB 153, HB 261, and HB 690. Seeing so many people from all walks of life come together was a powerful reminder: when we stand united, we’re stronger. 💪🏽 A huge shoutout to our Fellows who showed up with corazón, and to Fellow Diana Aguilar for bravely speaking with legislators about how these bills would hurt our communities. 📣 Take action with us: ✅ Email your legislator and say NO to anti-immigrant bills ✅ Ask Governor Josh Stein to veto this harmful legislation ✅ Call your sheriff and urge them to stand against HB 318 — Esta mañana LatinxEd se unio a un increíble grupo de defensores en la Asamblea General de Carolina del Norte para el Día de Abogacía por los Derechos de los Inmigrantes.
