Aidan Sun has been named a National Merit Scholarship winner! This honor is awarded to fewer than 1% of U.S. high school seniors who entered the program by taking the PSAT as juniors. Out of over 16,000 semifinalists, only about 6,900 students nationwide earned this prestigious scholarship in 2025. Way to go Aidan 👏🥳! (fb)

At the May 19 BHS Board of Education meeting, we had the pleasure of recognizing BHHS orchestra teacher Sean Brennan, who was recently named the Michigan Schools Band & Orchestra District IV Teacher of the Year! This prestigious honor now puts him in the running for Michigan Band & Orchestra Teacher of the Year. We are incredibly proud of Mr. Brennan and grateful to have such a talented and dedicated educator in our district. In addition to celebrating Mr. Brennan, we were proud to recognize two outstanding members of our transportation team—Christine Donalson and Willard Dean. Both were honored with the Oakland County Excellence in Transportation Award. Christine and Willard are known for their reliability, leadership, and the kindness they show to every student and staff member at BHS.
