RMHC Mid-Michigan Board Member A'me McGill Austin (A'me in Action) made a surprise visit to the House last week with fun items she picked up over the weekend. She brought snacks, stuffies, games and activities to be shared with young patients from our Hospitality Cart at University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Children's Center. Thank you to Redeemer Church: DeWitt! Suzie recently dropped off backpacks prepared by volunteers at the church to help with our transfer bag program. Specialized emergency care for children isn’t always available at community hospitals, which can result in significant travel for families. We try to make sure travel isn’t a barrier to critical care by providing items to make the journey easier to families' destination hospitals. These backpacks will be appreciated by families on some of their most difficult days. #KeepingFamiliesClose (fb)
