🎉Huge congratulations to Haverford's Mock Trial team!🎉 After traveling to Cleveland last weekend to compete in the American Mock Trial Association's (AMTA) National Championship Tournament, the team is back on campus with a slew of awards. Haverford's team placed fifth in its division, elevating it into the top 10 schools overall. The team is now ranked 23rd in the entire country out of 264 ranked institutions! In addition to the team's podium placement, Bella Salathé ’25 was named the top-ranked attorney of the entire competition, making her the best collegiate attorney in the country. The team also received runner-up honors for the SPAMTA award, presented to teams that best embody the "spirit of AMTA" and exhibit kindness, civility, and courteousness. There are more than 700 mock trial teams that compete with AMTA, but Haverford's team is completely student-run (with some alumni support). These are incredible accomplishments for a team that just began competing in 2016! (fb)
