The Harry S. Truman Library Institute
The Harry S. Truman Library Institute is a member-supported nonprofit organization that serves as the partner to the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and Museum. The institute was founded by President Harry S. Truman himself to ensure his presidential library flourishes as a classroom for democracy, where young people can better understand the American presidency and democratic principles.
Mission
The Truman Library Institute draws upon President Truman's legacy to enhance public understanding of history, the presidency, and America's unique form of government. This mission is achieved through various activities including:
