Mr Parker 🤎🖤 I’m sorry we don’t know your story or what led you to be sent to auction and end up in a kill pen. And I’m sorry people let you down when you needed their help the most. I don’t know who your person was and I’m sorry if you miss them or other friends you made where you used to live. I’m pretty sure you gave people your all and worked hard and did what they asked you to do without complaint. I’m positive you were a good boy, truly the bestest boy, cause that’s just who you are. And even when you were hungry and tired at the kill pen you let someone jump on your back and kick you forward and you did your best, even when your tummy was growling and bones were aching. You tried your hardest. And I am so so happy you did so we could find you and see you and bring you home to the softest of retirements. And I hope with all my heart that you’re making new friends like Lacey and her young filly Blossom and that watching her run around makes you feel young and needed again, as you keep a watchful eye on her as you doze peacefully in the sun. And I hope the food tastes good and that your mash is delicious and easy to eat without many teeth. And that your belly doesn’t growl anymore. And that those scratches the girls stop their chores to give you feel really good on your neck and chest. And I hope the birds singing in the trees sound sweet in your fluffy ears and the smells of green grass in your nose remind you of good days. Mr Parker we don’t know you well yet but I want you to feel how many people love you now and I hope your huge heart can feel all that energy directed at you from so many people who care about you. Who saw you too and who sent you support to get you home. This is just the beginning of the rest of your good life with us and so many good friends who know exactly how you feel, because they felt just like you when they arrived. I promised you Part Two of the cookie heist starring Bobcat. I had carried on down the line to the end to see these two wild boys Spartacus and Gatsby. They were hidden in the trees and I managed to get some great video of Gatsby looking the best I’ve ever seen him. I was marveling at the sight when I heard the familiar top of the cookie tub fall down and saw Bobcat with his nose in the cookies again. He had followed me all the way 😆 Spartacus and his son are two amazing boys from Nevada. Spartacus jumped out of the trap site and took off when he was captured but sadly wranglers ran him down and roped him. I honestly don’t know why it’s necessary to put a wild horse through that and I think it should be banned. If they escape they escape and their genes should be on that range as it’s a remarkable athletic and mental feat to succeed. This practice also encourages the yeehaw mentality of these wranglers, who see it as an opportunity to cowboy a wild horse and show off their roping skills on a living breathing horse who is in terror of the whole procedure. Spartacus was brought back to the trap and these contractors are paid by the head so they’re happy to brutalize them for money. Thankfully Spartacus bonded back up with his son Gatsby who was also captured and we took them both to keep them together. Spartacus has lost a lot of his glorious mane but thankfully it’s immortalized in amazing photographs for the next book The Wild Boys of Skydog.
