You may have noticed something new on our Fort Worth medical campus -- 125 life-size child cut-outs located outside Dodson Specialty on the green space near the roundabout and Peaks. Each cut-out represents 1,000 Cook Children’s Health Plan Members who may be forced to switch to a for-profit insurance company if the Texas Legislature doesn’t act soon. Lawmakers have until June 2 to take action and allow Cook Children’s to remain a STAR/CHIP Medicaid provider. Our community has asked how to help us #SaveCookChildrensHealthPlan, and this is what you can do. Cook Children’s is asking for your help to show the real impact this decision will have on children’s access to non-profit health care coverage by using your voice. You can show your support by sharing a photo of the display on your social media pages with the hashtag #savecookchildrenshealthplan the next time you stop by our campus.
