It’s National Cherish an Antique Day, and here’s one of the cherished items from the Remick collection. 🏛️ These toy Jersey oxen (photo 1) were purchased for young Edwin C. Remick by his mother, Emily Crafts Remick. Read her heartfelt note to little Edwin, which mentions the toy (photo 2, taken next to what is now the Capt. Enoch Remick House) and, in photo 3, see Edwin with a pair of young working steers, taken when he was approximately 2.5 years old.
