When nurse Dorrett learned that her patient was in the ICU and wasn't going to make it, she knew she couldn't leave him alone. She brought a small group to his bedside to make sure that he was surrounded by people who knew him and cared for him during his last moments. Dorrett says, "We were with him when he took his last breath. It was a very moving experience.
