✨GOLD AWARD SPOTLIGHT✨ This Gold Award Girl Scout is changing the world, one Micro: Bit at a time 💻 When Madhumitha was visiting her grandparents in Pattiveeranpatti, India, she toured her parents’ alma maters. She realized there was a huge digital divide between students at those schools and her school in Tennessee. To help close this divide, she raised money to purchase 45 Micro: Bits and received a generous donation of 20 laptops from MEDHOST, Inc.. Then, she went back to India and taught coding classes to 45 students in those 2 schools! She taught Python, provided self-learning curriculums and ensured sustainability through involving the school principals. After her trip, she continued to spread awareness through a dedicated instagram page, website, and YouTube videos. We are so proud of Madhumitha and the impact that she has made on that community.
