We are only one week out from the 3rd Annual Springtide Revival featuring many dear friends and collaborators of Title Track. Title Track will be participating once again in this unique gathering featuring live music, healing & circus arts! Join us in Ypsilanti on Sunday, June 8 for an immersive celebration of authenticity, whimsy, and the blooming season, presented by Resonant Bodies Healing Arts, Uprising, and Earthwork Music. Aerialists Cassie Catania and Amy Cadwallader lead a cast of twelve movement artists, with vocal looper Ki5 and Earthwork Collective members Jordan Hamilton, Elisabeth Pixley-Fink, Samantha Cooper, and Dede Alder providing music in a heart-centered show steeped in inspiration and mutual care. Family-friendly, games, crafts, body work, artisans, snacks & more. Whimsical attire encouraged! Bring blankets or chairs. 2-8pm, show 4-6pm. 1133 Maplewood Ave, Ypsilanti. Preregistration is required. GA Tickets are still available until they sell out! $35 or $10 for kids under 12. Title Track extends our heartfelt thanks to Michigan Humanities and the Michigan Arts and Culture Council for their grant support in making our participation in the Ann Arbor Earth Day Festival possible! It was such a wonderful, well-organized event full of music, fun and educational activities for all ages, and the inspiring collaboration of many organizations and community partners. Our presence was made all the more powerful as it was our first public event since our beloved colleague Holly (ba) T. Bird transitioned to ancestorhood. This was an event that she had invested many hours in helping to envision and plan and was eager to lead our portion of the programming. Our executive director, Jenny Jones, reflects on the poignancy of the experience: “Stepping onto the makeshift tented stage for Earth Day festivities felt strange. At times, I felt lost or helpless; it was an odd and surreal experience for me. Holly was not there in her normal cheery...physical presence. It took a little bit, but in the bustle of children, their parents, other attendees, sunshine, and wind - I began to feel her encouragement, her happiness, her love for the water, the earth....everything. I found myself carried by her spirit into a space where I could be present and grateful for the people around me; the celebration that day. Title Track was very honored and privileged to take part in Earth Day at Leslie Science & Nature Center - LSNC and look forward to future collaborations and programs with such an amazing team of humans. Holly helped us plan and dream about the event in early December last year. It was only appropriate that her spirit was there in the wind, celebrating and honoring the water, and joining us in songs that day. Love you, Holly.” Pictures courtesy of the Leslie Science & Nature Center team. 1. Chris Good, Seth Bernard, and Samantha Cooper performing during the Title Track music set 2.
