Portola High School students recently participated in an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Prompt-A-Thon event, hosted by Irvine Valley College (IVC). 💻 This event gave students the opportunity to work hands-on with AI tools, practice prompt writing and strengthen their problem-solving and teamwork skills in a fun, competitive environment. 💡Teams were challenged to develop and refine AI prompts based on real-world scenarios to generate the most effective solutions, such as tackling the question, “You’re the Dean of a Graphic Arts School in Hawaii with low student retention. What strategies could boost enrollment?” The Prompt-A-Thon highlights IUSD’s efforts to integrate AI in ways that support the District’s educational goals and to prepare students for college and workforce readiness.
