The Horizon Foundation of Howard County

The Horizon Foundation of Howard County, also known as the Horizon Foundation, is a nonprofit organization based in Howard County, Maryland. It is the largest independent health philanthropy in Maryland.

History and Mission

The foundation was established using the proceeds from the sale of Howard County General Hospital to Johns Hopkins Medicine. Its mission is to work alongside the community to dismantle systemic inequities, advocate for policy change, and ensure everyone in Howard County lives abundant and healthy lives.
