Our very own Lieutenant Steve Benesch was nominated and recognized tonight for the “Public Safety Recognition Night” held by the Bel Air Moose Lodge #1952 Lt Benesch was awarded Firefighter of the Year at our 95th Anniversary Banquet held this past February. He has been an active member of this company for over 5 years now and has belonged to other companies and has served them all well and with distinction in those departments. His willingness to mentor young members and to give them advise to better themselves in the Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company is to be commended. Lt. Benesch has been an invaluable asset to this company. He makes himself available with anything that needs to be completed. He completed all of his drivers training up to and including the Fire Engines. He has also taken several classes to better himself and increase his knowledge base to mentor younger members of the company. Any seasoned firefighter knows that with the ever-changing environment that we work in we must consistently and continuously adjust, train, learn, function, and operate in those environments. Classes are paramount in the learning process that helps and enables us to do what we do. He is highly regarded by the younger and older members within our company because of all his efforts. Thank you Lt. Benesch for your dedicated service! And thank you Bel Air Moose Lodge #1952 for honoring and recognizing a few of the amazing First Responders here in Harford County! (fb)
