Northaven Development Inc. is a nonprofit organization based in the United States, dedicated to providing affordable housing and care services for older adults. Founded in 1972 by a group of families from the Olympic View Community Church of the Brethren, Northaven has a longstanding mission to improve the quality of life for seniors through compassionate care and community engagement.

In 1992, the organization expanded its services by adding 40 assisted living units, thereby providing additional levels of care tailored to the diverse needs of its residents.

Services Provided
Northaven offers two main types of senior living options: Independent Living and Assisted Living.

• Independent Living: This service caters to seniors seeking a maintenance-free lifestyle with access to a variety of activities and support services tailored to their needs.

• Assisted Living: Designed for seniors who require more personalized care, this service includes tailored support and daily living assistance, ensuring a nurturing and secure environment.

Both facilities are equipped to support low-income seniors, many of whom face financial challenges that limit their housing options. In fact, a significant percentage of residents at Northaven are categorized as low income or very low income according to King County guidelines.
