Sitka Trail Works – The official site for Sitka Trail Works, Inc. SITKA TRAIL WORKS Creating maintaining and promoting beautiful local trails. Build In 2023 we finished the northern extension of the Sitka Cross Trail connecting downtown to Starrigavan and Halibut Point Road. After two years of community engagement the 2023 Sitka Trail Plan provides a vision for future development. Maintain Working alongside our agency partners Sitka Trail Works volunteers and paid crews address the constant needs of a trail system in the rainforest.

Today, on Indigenous Peoples' Day, Sitka Trail Works pauses to reflect on a deeper responsibility to this land. As a historically non-native organization whose work is focused on the environment, we humbly acknowledge that every trail we build, maintain, and promote is on Lingít Aaní. Aaní is the Lingít word for land and Lingít people have been stewarding these lands for over 10,000 years.
