Thank you to our sponsors, participants and volunteers for supporting the 2025 Art Jones Memorial Golf Tournament. Because of your generosity, the tournament raised more than $26,000 for NSA athletics! Go Saints! #SaintsTogether #nsasaints (fb)

Join us in celebrating the accomplishments of our alumni who are graduating from colleges and universities and receiving professional certifications this year! Reid Stambaugh '21 recently graduated with high distinction from the University of Virginia, earning a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. Over the next year, he will be completing prerequisites for medical school before he begins the application process next spring. His ultimate goal is to work in a surgical specialty at a research institution, where he can work in clinical and research settings. While at UVA, Reid excelled academically. He made dean’s list all eight semesters he attended, worked as a product design engineering intern with Busch Vacuum Solutions and was inducted into Sigma Delta Pi, which is the national collegiate Hispanic honor society. To further his Spanish education and fluency, he studied abroad in both Costa Rica and Spain. Reid was also able to continue to pursue his passion for music at UVA, where he played trumpet in the Cavalier Marching Band and the concert band. Outside of the classroom, he was an active member of UVA’s Taekwondo Club, where he served as the social chair. Club members competed in an Eastern Collegiate Taekwondo Conference tournament at Princeton University and did demonstrations for Korean Culture Fest at UVA. Reid credits several NSA teachers with fostering his love for science and preparing him well for college and beyond. "Mrs. Vaughan, Ms. Bolton, Mrs. Webb '07, Mr. Hsu and Mr. Sanford always supported my interests," says Reid. "They led challenging classes that helped prepare me for UVA, established a strong foundation in problem solving and instilled an unending passion for learning." Congratulations to Reid and to all of our alumni who are graduating and earning professional certifications this year! To be featured in a future post, please contact Alumni and Community Relations Coordinator Marcia Tabet at mtabet@nsacademy.org. Go Saints! #SaintsTogether #nsasaints (fb)
