✨ During Oman Sustainability Week, IWMI participated in a panel discussion on water security co-organized by the Economist Impact and the Oman Environmental Services Holding Co. SAOC - be'ah. In this panel, our regional representative, Youssef Brouziyne, engaged with distinguished speakers and the audience to explore innovative approaches and the vital role of cooperation in achieving water security under uncertainty. Youssef Brouziyne was also hosted by managers of the Directorate of the Water Resources Evaluation at Oman’s Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources, to discuss Oman’s water management strategies and plans. We look forward to the prospect of collaboration between IWMI and the Ministry and other national stakeholders to enhance water management practices in Oman. #WaterSecurity #OmanSustainabilityWeek (fb)

✨ The CGIAR Climate Action Program was officially launched in Tamil Nadu at the Taj Connemara, Chennai, in collaboration with IWMI and key state partners. With Tamil Nadu facing intensifying climate risks, the workshop brought together leaders from the State Planning Commission, Climate Change Mission, Water Resources Department, academia, and international development partners to co-develop a state-specific climate resilience pathway. The workshop concluded with concrete next steps to align CGIAR research with Tamil Nadu’s State Action Plan on Climate Change (SAPCC), Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and evolving climate priorities, and to co-create just, inclusive, and science-based adaptation strategies. 🎯 #ClimateAction #OneCGIAR #ClimateScience (fb)
