Graveyard Shift Nabs Prolific Burglar At 12:37 AM on April 27, 2025, LPD officers responded to an alarm at a business near the 4000 block of Alderwood Mall Parkway. On arrival, officers confirmed a burglary had just occurred. Security footage showed the suspect was dressed in all black, wearing a face mask, and riding an electric scooter with a backpack. While still on scene, officers got a second call — another nearby business had just experienced an attempted burglary. Same suspect description. A K9 track was attempted but came up short. That didn’t stop our team. During an area check, Officer Grieve and Student Officer Luckman spotted a man wearing a black face mask, gloves, and riding an electric scooter with a backpack. Given the timing and location, they made the stop. In his front pocket? A realistic-looking replica Sig Sauer pistol. The man was identified as Anthony Decelles — one of the most prolific burglars known throughout King and Snohomish Counties. A search revealed nearly $900 in stolen alcohol and cigarettes. That led officers to discover a third burglary at a nearby Walgreens. Officer Kalamar located the damaged store and reviewed surveillance video, confirming Decelles had just broken in minutes before being stopped. He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on multiple felony burglary charges. Outstanding work by our graveyard crew.
