It is with deep sadness that the Schenectady Community Action Program mourns the passing of Walter Simpkins, founder of Community Fathers Inc., who died Wednesday at age 75. Walter was a pillar in our community whose dedication to reconnecting fathers with their families and mentoring countless individuals has left an indelible mark on Schenectady. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. Walter's legacy of compassion, encouragement, and community service will continue to inspire us all. Rest in peace, Walter. Thank you for everything you gave to our community. #CommunityHero #RestInPower (fb)
