Reallife examples of this mission in action include the revitalization of Thousand Oaks Park where a dedicated group of volunteers raised 80000 to create a beautiful natural trail. Additionally after the devastating 2017 flood the San Jose Parks Foundation played a key role in restoring the Japanese Friendship Garden which was originally a gift from our Sister City Okayama. Through efforts like these including fundraising for Koi preservation and volunteerdriven cleanups the Foundation continues to support the gardens recovery creating a serene haven for residents and visitors.
