Please support The Steger Center for Give to the Max Day where your donation can go even further with a $10,000 matching grant opportunity from the Olseth Family Foundation. Support women who will gain hands-on experience with stone masonry! The Steger Center has been offering tuition-free women-only courses every summer for over six years that give women needed skills and experience in often male-dominated construction and trade roles. The Steger Center plans to offer a women-only Stone Masonry course tuition-free for 16 women next summer. Steger Center programming does more than teach; the subject taught, whether it be stone masonry, timber framing or finish carpentry, becomes a catalyst for personal inspiration and activates individual potential. The idea that an ordinary person has the capacity to create something beautiful and useful is transformative.
