Emerge Sarasota EMERGE SARASOTA SARASOTAMANATEES BIPOC young professionals Event Announcement Event Announcement Event Announcement Despite increasing awareness of the mental health crisis in the United States Black communities remain disproportionately affected by barriers to wellness access including cost stigma and underrepresentation of culturally competent providers. Access to nature and wellness resources has been shown to improve mental and physical health outcomes yet these opportunities are rarely accessible to marginalized populations. For the fifth year in a row Emerge Sarasota will host its multiday program designed to provide culturally relevant affordable and impactful wellness experiences to the regions young BIPOC professionals. Formerly known as Free Your Mind the wellness campaign has been reinvigorated for its fifth run and aims to bridge the gap between advocacy and action with Well Wild Getting to the Heart of Black Mental Health Wellness in February 2025.
