At yesterday’s emotional yearbook dedication ceremony, the Salmagundi advisors unveiled a well-kept secret: the 2025 edition is dedicated to none other than Scott McCormick, beloved science teacher and longtime track & field coach! From the classroom to the track, Scott has been a source of inspiration, guidance, and unwavering support for generations of MBS students. Femi Gbayisomore ’18 and Humza Bari ’18, first year medical school students, came back to MBS today to speak to students interested in pursuing medicine. The event was hosted by the Future Physicians of America Club. 🩺 The two alumni offered their unique perspectives on medical school. Femi was inspired to become a doctor by family, while Humza stated he had known this was his path since his time at MBS! They offered advice, tips on how to balance the workload of medical school, and reminisced on their time at Morristown Beard. The visit was full circle, as their graduating class was the first to take science classes in the Math & Science Center that opened in 2017. 🧬 Femi is currently studying at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, while Humza is attending the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Maine.
