#OTD in 1943, the Trident Conference began. This conference, which would last 16 days, brought President Roosevelt and Prime Minister Churchill together to plan for upcoming Allied actions, including the Normandy Campaign. They decided to schedule D-Day for May 1944 to allow time for greater troop and supply build up.
