What a fantastic day at the Red Dragon Canoe Club’s Old Fashioned MEMORIAL DAY PICNIC . Despite the chilly weather, everyone had a great time enjoying delicious food (so much food!), great music, fun games, kite flying, and a meaningful memorial ceremony by the waterfront. Complete with the traditional wreath in the river and the firing of the cannon. Thank you to Jeff and Bob for sharing their words during the ceremony. A huge shout-out to Michael for hosting. I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for coming out and attending the RDCC Old Fashioned Memorial Day Picnic. It was amazing to see everything come together and I heard many compliments! My family members, friends and I offered many compliments to the club and had a great time. I especially want to thank my team who provided excellent guidance and advice on planning and what to do since I am new at this. Thanks to Bob and Pat, Ro, Reg, Jim, Nancy, Jenn, Linda and Jeff. Also, thanks to Alan and Ro who helped with the music. Additionally, I would like to thank the folks who prepared and provided amazing appetizers and desserts and those who showed up early and helped with setting up, including Norma and her folks. The Red Dragon Canoe Club is currently accepting applications for new members. The price is very affordable. Here are some cool things you can enjoy at the club: Canoeing, kayaking, sailing. The clubhouse is a beautiful, century-old mansion right on the Delaware River. Social gatherings, concerts, dinners, and more throughout the year. Boat & kayak/canoe storage, mooring available, loaner boats & kayaks, mansion rentals, and members who soon become friends. Two levels of membership to choose from, both at very reasonable prices!
