Fawns are now being born in Amador and Calaveras Counties. PLEASE SHARE!!! Fawns are born without a scent because moms must leave them to search for food. Moms may leave for long periods of time so please call 209-283-3245 before you intervene. Fawns who need help may cry out and follow people, they may have visible wounds or illness or they may have diarrhea which shows mom has not cleaned them while feeding to keep them scent free. We can never raise wildlife as well as their wild mothers, so please help us prevent kidnaps.
