Its use as a burial site goes back more than a century earlier with many of Bristol39s pioneer families buried in the original graveyard which is also the final resting place of several Revolutionary War veterans. Over time the hilltop area has been expanded southward overlooking Bristol39s hills and valley in a quiet and peaceful rural setting. People of many different religious faiths and traditions and of no particular belief have chosen Evergreen Cemetery for burial.
