Following last week's news about Abdi moving on as Executive Director of the Awood Center, we are so excited to announce Deqa Essa as the new Executive Director of the Awood Center! Deqa comes to Awood from her previous positions serving as CFO/Vice President of Administration at Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative. She also has worked at Emerge and Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity. We are thrilled she will be bringing her extensive experience to help grow our fight for worker justice! (fb)

Safety Stability Dignity The Awood Center is a dynamic workercentered organization that creates a culturally and linguistically relevant space to build unity and develop the next generation of leaders in Minnesotas diverse East African communities.
