Our goal and the mission of the Saint Sharbel Makhlouf Foundation is to develop and nurture a presence and a shrine in the United States to honor Saint Sharbel and the spreading of his powerful intercession and the message of healing both body and soul. Saint Sharbel Makhlufs Story Although this saint never traveled far from the Lebanese village of BekaKafra where he was born his influence has spread widely. Joseph Zaroun Makluf was raised by an uncle because his father a mule driver died when Joseph was only three.
