The Eyes on Kelp project involves monitoring kelp beds and collecting data on the water conditions surrounding them. The buoy depicted is part of the larger Eyes on Kelp project, and has all the associated environmental loggers (DO, pH, PAR, salinity, water level, temperature). This one is located near the grain terminal at the north end of Centennial Park. It’s also where we did some of our Reef Check surveys, and while not all of the species found on those are included in the picture, the relative abundances of what he did include were based on the survey results.
