Monday, March 29, 1915, the New Theater opened for the season in Washington, NC. On the next day, the matinee is Mary Pickford starring in the "5 reel photoplay" (silent film) "The Eagle's Mate." A young girl, Anemone (Mary Pickford), who lives with her Aunt (Ida Waterman) is abducted by a crude family of Virginia mountain moonshiners. Drama at its best! (fb)
