In November of 2024, restorers from St. Patrick's Guild in St. Paul came to our grounds to retrieve our St. Benedict and St. Anne & Mary statues from Lexington Church. Both statues came with the original St. Jozefa/St. Joseph's Church when we purchased it in 2011. In late May, we were honored to have our statues returned in beautifully restored condition. Many thanks to Lynn Heinzig for making arrangements to have these statues restored, thank you to St. Patrick's Guild for their fantastic work and thanks to all those involved in removal and replacement. Fun Fact: St. Joseph's Church was built in 1902 by Polish immigrants, closed in 2009, was purchased by Pioneer Power and moved onto the show grounds in 2011. In 2012, the church was dedicated and renamed Lexington Church in honor of the town where it originally was built. (fb)

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of one of our long time members, Susie Smisek. Susie was instrumental in many areas around our club including making homemade ice cream for some of our early shows in the 1980s and most recently was the caretaker for our log cabin along with husband John who passed last year. Our deepest sympathy to the entire Smisek family. (fb)
