We invite you to discover Woodford built 17561758 for William Coleman a Philadelphia merchant judge and close friend of Benjamin Franklin. This elegant country home located in East Fairmount Park is one of the few remaining examples of the early summer retreats that were built along the Schuylkill River during the 1700s and 1800s by affluent colonial Americans. Today Woodford a National Historic Landmark is owned by the City of Philadelphia and operated by The Naomi Wood Trust as a historic house museum.
