Our founder Beverly Bronson and baby Abhaya in 2016.

Following the death of her mother and the disappearance of her father, eight-year-old Sushila was left to care for her alcoholic grandmother in a remote village in Nepal. With only sporadic access to education, her future was uncertain. That changed in June 2019, when Sushila joined House with Heart’s family home for girls in Kathmandu.

Located in Kathmandu, Nepal, House with Heart is a home for abandoned and improverished girls, a tutoring and education center for under-resourced children in the community, and a vocational training center where disadvantaged women gain practical skills and pathways to economic independence.
