Crescent Islamic Montessori School Crescent Islamic Montessori School is a nonprofit preschool founded by the community for the community. We have the distinction of being the only Islamic Montessori school in the greater Portland Metropolitan area and have been serving the community since 2004. Our mission is to provide a developmentally appropriate program based on the principles and philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori and the recommendations of the latest research in early childhood education encapsulated within an Islamic atmosphere.
