Forteza Fitness and Martial Arts is holding a Grand Reopening Celebration this Sunday (June 1)! 🤺 Join them, and enjoy the following fun activities... ✂️ Around 12 pm: a ribbon cutting 🎶 Before and during the ribbon cutting: a performance by The Pippins, a madrigal choir from Chicago that performs Renaissance music from around the world. 🛡️ 12:30 pm: Free Historical Timeline Demo–see examples of fencing from medieval to renaissance. Questions welcome! ⚔️ 2 pm: The Tournament Field–Shoot boffer arrows at armoured instructors (3 for $5) or fight them with boffer swords and safety equipment (3 passes for $5). 🤺2 pm: 30-min. Beginner Lessons–Come for adult rapier lessons, and learn how to handle the one-handed, Italian Renaissance sword (16 yrs. and up). Offer your kids the chance to take a youth lesson on the longsword, the two-handed sword from the knightly era (7-16yrs). Or, head upstairs to their archery range for an all ages archery mini lesson. 🗡️ 2:45 pm: Take an adult longsword lesson (16 yrs. and up). Each lesson is $35 per person.
