As they counted down to the end of the school year, LCCAA Head Start students enjoyed a variety of activities including the ever-popular Water Day! The weather decided to participate also driving classroom activities indoors where are amazing teachers did what they do best – get creative! Firelands students made colored bubbles in the water table resulting in great science exploration and imagination. Comments included “I’m washing dishes.” “I’m making potion.” “I’m scooping up all the bubbles to make a bubble cake.” Griswold students mixed food coloring into their water table. LaGrange students completed the Light Study and moved right into the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Study. They combined the two to create some trash to treasure artwork that glowed in the dark! Wonderful pieces using neon splash paint on black canvases and water color paintings done on newspaper (“Recycled Rainbows”) were shared with families during the Week of the Young Child.
