Sloop Tavern Yacht Club Ballard WA Sloop Tavern Yacht Club Est. 1976 About STYC STYC was founded in 1976 by a group of liveaboard and racing sailors over beers at the Sloop Tavern in Seattle WA. We continue to maintain a relationship with the tavern and often hold postrace events there. Our races and cruises are generally out of Shilshole Bay Marina in Ballard located at 7001 Seaview Ave NW.
