WELCOME tO mATAGORDA cOUNTY mUSEUM Matagorda County Museum Association was chartered in 1963 . to support an educational undertaking. and to these ends establish and maintain in Matagorda County Texas a Historical Museum for the purpose of promoting the public interest in Matagorda County Texas. The facility serves as a County Museum with exhibits outlining the early settlement industry and social and cultural history of the county.
