Aloha Pōʻalima kākou! Happy Aloha Friday 🤙🏽💜 Our Tūtū and Me ʻohana were blessed to participate in @kamehamehaschools @kskaiaulu Poi4Pēpē program – bringing poi to the homes of our keiki. The Poi4Pēpē program collaborates with local farmers on each island to deliver and provide a 1 pound bag of poi to every keiki at 30 preschools each month. When you introduce keiki to fresh poi or kalo at a young age, they’re more likely to enjoy the taste as they grow older. Check out our Tūtū and Me keiki from across the pae ʻāina enjoying their poi! Some of them couldn’t wait to get home and dug in right away 😆 Poi 4 pepe, poi, kamehameha schools, kamehameha kaiaulu, indigenous foods, tutu and me (fb)

To wrap up the school year, our Ko Olina and Papakōlea Tūtū and Me ʻohana headed to Sherwoods Beach in Waimānalo for a beach clean-up with @sustainablecoastlineshawaii 🌊🧹 Keiki learned how to spot plastic vs. natural materials (hint: plastic floats!) and used sand sifters to uncover hidden ʻōpala in the sand. 🌱💡We only covered a small stretch of beach, but the amount of plastic collected was eye-opening—and inspiring. 🌍✨ Mahalo @sustainablecoastlineshawaii for empowering our communities to mālama ʻāina from mauka to makai 💚 Let’s keep our beaches clean and safe for future generations! Beach clean-up, Malama Aina, tutu and me, Waimanalo, sustainable Hawaii, Ko Olina, papakolea, PIDF in the community, Aloha Aina, environmental education (fb)
