Great Basin Outdoor School | Reno-Tahoe Outdoor Education Great Basin Outdoor School Home About Us Programs Events Support Us Resources Contact Empowering our youth to explore achieve expand horizons through handson discovery in theoutdoor classroom What We Do We immerse students in multiday overnight science camps and day field studies in spectacular natural settings on the shore of Lake Tahoe and other local sites. Students hike snowshoe learn local ecology and more with handson standardsbased activities and volunteer on conservation projects. With community support Great Basin Outdoor School opens doors to lifelong outdoor learning for children in need. Lessons build healthy habits social and academic skills and a connection to the community and the natural world.
