Idaho Aviation Association Incorporated
The Idaho Aviation Association Incorporated is a nonprofit organization designated as a 501(c)(7) social and recreational club. Its primary mission is to serve as a voice for general aviation in Idaho, both locally and nationally.
Mission Statement
The Idaho Aviation Association aims to represent its members in forums where decisions affecting general aviation are made. It works to keep members informed about aviation issues, collaborate with public and private entities to preserve, maintain, and enhance aviation facilities, and promote safety, education, and public understanding of general aviation in Idaho.
Activities and Outreach
The organization provides various benefits to its members, including access to an interactive map of Idaho's airstrips, real-time weather information, and exclusive webcams. Members also receive full access to the association's monthly newsletter, The Flyline, which covers local and national aviation news. Additionally, the Idaho Aviation Association offers discounts on aviation-related services and maintains directories for aviation instructors and airstrip hosts.
Idaho Aviation Hall of Fame
The association is also involved with the Idaho Aviation Hall of Fame, which aims to educate and inspire both children and adults about the legacy of aviation in Idaho and explore opportunities for aerospace careers. The hall of fame recognizes notable individuals who have contributed significantly to Idaho's aviation history.
Collaboration with Other Organizations
The Idaho Aviation Association collaborates with other organizations like the Idaho Aviation Foundation, which focuses on preserving and developing backcountry airstrips through initiatives such as airport maintenance work parties. This collaboration underscores the commitment of both organizations to supporting general aviation in Idaho.

Reminder! Grand Opening for Donnelly Flyway walking/biking trail! We’d like to invite Idaho pilots to join us for a Grand Opening PR event for the Donnelly Town-to-Beach Flyway walking/biking trail on Friday, May 30, at 1 p.m. The trail is at least 3 years in the making from permitting to construction … see map below for trail location … it runs parallel to the Donnelly Donald D Coski Memorial Airport (U84) from the trailhead on the W. Roseberry side over to the Donnelly city beach. The trail is about 1 mile in length. A trail from downtown Donnelly over to the Flyway trailhead will be built this coming summer or fall. Pilots would be welcome to fly in for the May 30 event and walk or bike the trail. We’re also inviting school kids to walk the trail with us. There will be a few speeches and ribbon-cutting at 1 p.m. and then we’ll go walk/bike the trail with the community. (fb)

Here's a nice little video of ops at the brand new Star Valley Ranch airstrip that IAA volunteers helped build last weekend! (fb)
