MCEL is a space for Male Leaders of Color in Ed. Leadership to challenge and disrupt the prevailing wisdom around opportunity for all students. WHO WE ARE MCEL is comprised of Superintendents, District-level administrators, Principals, Asst. Principals, Higher Education administrators, Educational Technology leaders, and members of educational non-profits. To develop and support a strong network of male leaders of color who lead fiercely through their authentic selves and lived experiences. These male leaders of color MLoC) will join the fight of ensuring all students reach their full potential; especially our most marginalized and disenfranchised.

MCEL – Quality, Quantity, & Care Not only are male educators of color leaving the profession at a much higher rate than other demographics but fewer and fewer males of color are choosing to enter the teaching field to begin with. OUR SOLUTION Through leveraging our strategies partners and close allies we are supporting the growth and development of male leaders of color while also supporting educational institutions strengthen their leadership pipeline by providing a safe space for male leaders of color to engage in authentic conversations about the impact of race gender and implicit bias on the leadership role of men of color.
