If you’ve driven by 212 Main Street lately, you’ve probably seen the progress! We’re doing a full renovation of this cozy 2-bedroom home, and the former tenant will be moving back in once it’s complete. This is the same property where we added an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) this past winter, and one of four properties supported by funding from the MaineHousing Affordable Housing Islands Initiative, aimed at bolstering rental units on Maine’s islands. We were so glad to be part of the Housing for All fair this past weekend in Rockport—huge thanks to the organizers for bringing together such a passionate and solutions-driven crowd. It was a full house of builders, advocates, and housing folks all working toward a more sustainable, affordable future for the Midcoast.
