Saturday Night Bath Concert Fund

Artistic Director Howard Rich graduated Queens College of the City University of NY in 1971 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. His love of music spurred him to LA in 1973: he immediately became a professional musician & private teacher, took three years of advanced theory & many apprenticeships. He recognized the need for music in public schools; in 1984 he founded Saturday Night Bath Band, targeting disadvantaged youth, performing his original blues compositions, as well as music of traditional composers. He has reached 40,000+ young people in juvenile halls, probation camps and continuation schools throughout CA. He has copyrighted 127 songs in the styles of such composers as Willie Dixon, Chuck Berry, Howlin Wolf, & Carlos Santana. He has been writing grant proposals for27-years.
