I’m always hesitant to write a breast cancer awareness month post because this is me and millions of other men and women’s reality each and every month. Though I am grateful for the visibility those in the community receive this month, I hope one day the spotlight would remain as prevalent as it is in October, year round. That being said 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime so it’s important to continue reminding everyone that early screening and detection is vital.
